Ideo notum vobis fácio, quod nemo, in Spíritu Dei loquens, licit anáthema Jesu, Et nemo potest dícere, Dóminus Jesus, nisi in Spíritu sancto.
Deo Gratias. (I Corinthians 12. 2-11)
| | Gradual | Custódi me, Dómine, ut pupíllam óculi:
Sub umbra alárum tuárum protégé me.
De vulto tuo judícium meum pródeat: óculi tui vídeant æquitátem.
Allelúja, allelúja.
Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion: et tibi reddétur votum in Jerúsalem.
Allelúja. (Psalm 8: 2; Psalm 64: 2)
| | Gospel | Dominus vobiscum.
Et cum spiritu tuo.
Sequentia sancti Evangelii secundum Lucam.
Jejúno bis in sábbato: décimas do ómnium, quæ possídeo.

ENGLISH| Introit | ANTIPHON When I cried to the Lord He heard my voice, from them that draw near to me: and He humbled them, who is before all ages, and remains for ever: cast thy care upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee.
Hear, O God, my prayer:
and despise not my supplication be attentive to me and hear me.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit:
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. ANTIPHON (repeat) When I cried to the Lord He heard my voice, from them that draw near to me: and He humbled them, who is before all ages, and remains for ever: cast thy care upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. (Psalm 54: 17-18, 20, 23; Psalm 54: 2)
| | Collect | O God who dost manifest Thine power almighty most chiefly in sparing and showing mercy: multiply upon us Thy mercy: that as we hasten towards Thy promises, Thou mayest make us partakers of the heavenly treasures. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
Amen. (Psalm 54: 17-18, 20, 23; Psalm 54: 2)
| | Lesson | Today’s lesson is from the First Epistle of Blessed Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians. Brethren, You know that, when you were heathens, you went to dumb idols, according as you were led, Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man, speaking by the Spirit of God, saith Anathema to Jesus and no man can say, the Lord Jesus, but by the Holy Spirit. Now there are diversities of graces, but the same Spirit and there are diversities of ministries, but the same Lord and there are diversities of operations, but the same God, who worketh in all. And the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man unto profit. To one indeed, by the Spirit, is given the word of wisdom, and to another, the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; to another the grace of healing in one Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another, interpretation of speeches. But all these things one and the same Spirit worketh, dividing to every one according as He will. Here ends today’s lesson.
Thanks be to God. (I Corinthians 12. 2-11)
| | Gradual | Keep me, O Lord, as the apple of Thine eye:
Protect me under the shadow of Thy wings.
Let my judgment come forth from Thy countenance: let Thine eyes behold the thing that is equitable.
Alleluia, alleluia.
A hymn, O God, becometh Thee in Sion: and a vow shall be paid to Thee in Jerusalem.
Alleluia. (Psalm 8: 2; Psalm 64: 2)
| | Gospel | The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.
The continuation of the holy Gospel according to Luke.
Glory to Thee, O Lord At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves as just, and despised others. “Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one was a pharisee, and the other a publican, the pharisee standing, prayed thus with himself. O God, I give Thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers as also is this publican. I fast twice in the week I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican standing afar off would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven, but struck his breast saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. I say to you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” The Gospel of the Lord.
Praise be to Thee, O Christ. (Luke 18: 9-14)
| | Offertory | To Thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul: in Thee, O my God, I put my trust, let me not be ashamed: neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on Thee shall, be confounded. (Psalm 24: 1-3)
| | Secret | Let the appointed Sacrifices be offered to Thee, O Lord: which Thou halt granted so to be offered to the honor of Thy Name, that they may themselves become healing remedies unto us. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
Amen. (Psalm 24: 1-3)
| Preface (Trinity) | It is truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, that we should at all times and in all places, give thanks unto Thee, O holy Lord, Father almighty, ever-lasting God: Who, to-gether with Thine only-begotten Son, and the Holy Spirit, are one God, one Lord: not in the oneness of a single Person, but in the Trinity of one substance. for what we believe by Thy revelation of Thy glory, the same do we believe of Thy Son, the same of the Holy Spirit, without difference or separation. So that in confessing the true and everlasting Godhead, distinction in persons, unity in essence, and equality in majesty may be adored. Which the Angels and Archangels, the Cherubim also and Seraphim do praise: who cease not daily to cry out with one voice saying... Holy, Holy, Holy...
| | Communio Verse | Thou wilt accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and holocausts, upon Thine altar, O Lord. (Psalm 50: 51, 21)
| | Post-Communion Prayer | We beseech Thee, O Lord, our God, that in Thy goodness Thou wilt not deprive of Thine aid those whom Thou dost not cease to renew with Thy divine Sacraments. Through the same Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
Amen. (Psalm 50: 51, 21)

About the information (below)
This information applies to the Diocese of Texas. If you are outside the diocese, the details
you see here are fairly standard throughout the western church. However, your bishop's rules may vary.
Diversity it worderful. These rules point to diversity. Neither we nor your bishop is "right" or "correct" ot "better."
Note on candles
The listing calendar items shows how many additional candles. Here are the rules for the base set of candles.
| Use 2 | for priest celebrant, no incense |
| Use 4 | for priest celebrant, no incense |
| Use 6 | for any celebrant using incense |
| Add 1 | if the celebrant is the Ordinary |
Note on liturgical colors
Parishes and priests only need two colors: white and purple. White can substitute for every color, except purple.
| WHITE | Used at Christmas, Easter, and other joyful celebrations. May be used at funerals, ordinations. |
| RED | Days of the Holy Spirit, the Apostles, and memorials of martyrs. |
| ADVENT PURPLE | This is blueish purple. Use during advent. If you cannot afford both purple hues, use whichever you have. |
| LENT PURPLE | This is red-purple. You may use lent purple at funerals, but that tradition is basically dead (so to speak). |
| GREEN | Green is the "none of the above" color. If you don't have specific instructions on color, then the color is green. |
| ROSE | Use on Gaudete and Laetare Sundays |
| BLUE | Any Mass for/about the Blessed Virgin Mary |
| BLACK | Good Friday and Funerals. |
| GOLD | At a mammoth occasion (eg., ordination, Christmas, Easter, etc.), gold is fine. |
| SILVER | We don't use silver or any other color not mentioned. |
|
